Tickets & Prices
Admission to the theater screening and awards ceremony is ¥1,000, reserved seating (two levels). The Selection Screening at SCARTS (Court and Studio A / B) is free and requires no ticket. The presale runs through crowdfunding (CAMPFIRE, late October to late November); general sale is via teket (listing opens in December, full sale from April 15, 2027). There are no day passes or student tickets.

- The Networking Reception is open only to those who apply through the presale (crowdfunding, 50 seats) and invited guests. It is not available in general sale.
- The Selection Screening is a free screening of the Second Selection films at SCARTS Court and Studio A / B (from 10:00; Court until 13:00, Studio A & B until 21:00). No ticket needed.
- Seats are reserved. In general sale (teket), you choose your seat at purchase. Crowdfunding supporters will receive a teket redemption code in December. Choose your seat on teket, enter the code, and issue your ticket (no additional charge).
- There are no day passes or student tickets.
- Award-winning films are released online after the festival through the official channel and elsewhere. Crowdfunding supporters get a one-week early screening starting the day after the festival.
- Crowdfunding tiers (¥10,000, ¥50,000, etc.) are "support plus rewards," not admission fees. Any tickets included as rewards are described with their face value stated.
The presale runs through crowdfunding
Late October to late November 2026. The presale allocation is 300 seats for Theater Admission (¥1,000, reserved seat) and a limited 50 for Full Access (¥5,000). Every supporter receives an Ember Number and is listed on the Supporters page. General sale (teket) begins in December.

Before You Come
- Subtitles
- All films are screened with Japanese and English subtitles.
- Interpretation
- No interpreters are provided at the talks or the Networking Reception. For conversation, feel free to use AI translation such as ChatGPT on your smartphone.
- Online Archive
- The talks are recorded and streamed online via teket after the festival (¥1,000, about one month). The Sponsor Session is not included in the archive.
- Release of award-winning films
- Award-winning films are released online after the festival through the official channel and elsewhere. Crowdfunding supporters get a one-week early screening starting the day after the festival.
- Seating
- Reserved seating (two levels). Choose your seat on teket. Crowdfunding supporters receive a redemption code in December. If you require wheelchair seating, please contact us in advance.
- Age restrictions
- There are no age restrictions. Dedicated seating is provided so that preschool children may also attend. Only films suitable for all ages are screened.
- Cancellation
- Presale (CAMPFIRE): support payments are non-refundable. General sale (teket): cancellations and refunds after purchase are not accepted, except where the organizer cancels the event. Online Archive (streaming): as a digital product, it cannot be cancelled or refunded after purchase. See the Disclosure under the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions for details.
- Photography
- Photography and recording during screenings are prohibited. Photography for documentation and publicity will take place in the venue.
- Sponsor presence
- No commercials or corporate presentations are shown in the hitaru auditorium or on its screen. Sponsor presence in the theater takes three forms only: the presentation of the Sponsor Prizes at the awards ceremony, the closing credits after the screening (names of sponsors and supporters), and the sponsor booths in the foyer. Sponsor commercials are shown within the Selection Screening loop at SCARTS.

The theater and SCARTS are in the same building, the Sapporo Community Plaza. The hitaru theater is on 4F (1,686 seats on two levels); SCARTS Court is on 1F.
